The Emulex Gen 6 (16/32G) Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters by Broadcom are engineered to meet the rigorous performance, reliability, and management demands of modern networked storage systems utilizing high-performance solid state drives and hard disk drive arrays.
Industry-Leading Fibre Channel Performance
Fibre Channel remains the gold standard for network storage connectivity in enterprise and cloud deployments. Emulex Gen 6 FC HBAs with Dynamic Multi-core architecture deliver superior performance, reduced latency, enhanced diagnostics, and improved manageability for both 16GFC and 32GFC environments.
Dynamic Multi-core Architecture
The unique Emulex Dynamic Multi-core architecture provides unparalleled performance and efficient port utilization by allocating all ASIC resources to ports as needed. Compared to previous generations, Gen 6 HBAs deliver:
  • 2x greater bandwidth - 12,800MBps (2 ports 32GFC, or 4 ports 16GFC, full duplex)
  • Less than half the latency
  • Industry-leading 1.6 million IOPS per adapter
  • Quad-port LPe32004 delivers up to 3.2 million IOPS per adapter
NVMe over Fabrics Support
These adapters are NVMe over Fabrics-enabled, delivering an additional 55% lower latency than SCSI, while supporting both NVMe over Fabrics and SCSI concurrently.
